Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Rafiq U — 16 Aug 2011
Stanley Kubrick's "Paths of Glory" is more then just your ordinary war film. It's a anti-war film that deals with the politics in war. Kubrick derives from following any certain conventions that is usually found in other war movies.
Kirk Douglas delivers a great performance and he is backed up by several good supporting actors. The cinematography, especially the tracking shot in the trenches are fantastically executed.
