Review of Paths of Glory (1957) by Alexander M — 07 Dec 2012
I didn't even know that this Kubrick movie existed until a couple of weeks ago. Boy was I missing out. This is really great piece of cinema combining a gripping story, a potent message, and some great cinematography.
On top of that, Kirk Douglas and the supporting cast are all fantastic, and the acting feels surprisingly natural for a movie made in the '50s. This is a great movie, even for those of you who don't generally like classic movies.
