Review of Pathology (2008) by Jeffrey L — 16 Oct 2008
This movie, staring Peter from Heroes, is about a group of medical students that play this devious game of who among them can commit the perfect murder.
I love movies were we get to see an otherwise normal character descends into darkness, and we get to see that journey. I like it even better when it's in a horror/thriller movie, as it means we'll be getting lots of suspense, tense moments, and gore, all of which this movie had.
There are a couple things I didn't like though. The main actor, Milo, he doens't have much acting range. His character acts the exact same during the entire movie - even before he starts killing people - which is also the exact same as he acts on Heroes. I love the guy, he's awesome to watch in heroes, and I know this comment will get lots of hate mail from fan girls, but when it comes down to it, he's really not that good of an actor. He's a one-trick pony who is clinging onto that trick for dear life.
The other things I didn't like, is I felt the ending went on a tad too long, just to end way too suddenly, and only two people in the group really gets any characterization. The other two can hardly even be called supporting characters as they're hardly even in the movie.
But apart from those three things, I really enjoyed this thriller, as well as the twists and suspense that came with it.
