Review of Pathfinder (2007) by Adelwyn H — 11 Nov 2008
I was left standing somewhere in the middle on my feeling about this film. On one hand, it was interesting and enjoyable enough to keep my attention. On the other, it presented itself as utterly stupid, pedestrian, and pointless.
Despite that feeling, I did appreciate how the cultural differences were portrayed, and the role that the main character Ghost played, standing on the threshold between the two. The manner in which the environments were captured, was indeed a pleasure to watch as well.
The movie lacked any serious character development, more intense (not necessarily gory) actions scenes, and engaging dialogue. I don't that any serious movie goer would appreciate this film...
