Review of Pathfinder (2007) by Collin R — 17 Jun 2011
Glossy warrior movie filmed in cartoon like sepia along the same vein as the excellent 300. The effects were monsterous, the costumes a gothic rock concert's collection of all time, and the fighting scenes a combination of slo-mo, with quickened sword action completmenting each other , again in the same style of 300.
What I liked was the old fashioned myth that vikings were indeed ruthless barbarians that enjoyed nothing more in life than to kill and plunder purely for the enjoyment of it, rather than the recent revelaations that vikings as a race of explorers were just as decent and civilized as those of more southern countries at the time.
