Review of Pathfinder (1987) by Paul P — 08 Jun 2010
Very amusing for all the wrong reasons...
This is about as dumb as a bag of spanners and gos to show that a bunch of fight scenes and blood and gore don't make a good film on their own and whilst this is a fun watch, it has very little in terms of a decent story.
Karl Urban is ok but we know he can do better than this material. He handles the action stuff with ease but he is saddled with some awful dialogue. Saying that, so is everybody. It's also another one of those films where the girl is impossibly cute and fresh faced for what are supposed to be really horrid conditions. She just looked totally out of place everytime she turned up.
Watchable but forgetable and the less said about how the avalanche at the end kicks off the better, it really is that bad....
