Review of Pathfinder (1987) by Boris Nicolas E — 22 Jan 2011
Dear Lord where do I start... Do I make fun of how the vikings speak gibberish and prance through the snow? Do I take the easy jabs at how the indians' costumes appear to be purchased from party city whilst EVERY viking is skeletor? Ya know I had REALLY low expectations for this movie.
..but right about the time our white-man-indian Karl urban dispatched of about half the viking enemies simply by tobogganing down the side of a snow covered mountain on a vikings shield BY ACCIDENT (he fell on the shield after getting shot in the back with a bow and arrow), I realized that I had just witnessed either the most tragic snow sled accident ever or a true gem of cinema.
Or maybe I mixed that up... Yeah. True gem of snow sledding, a tragic piece of cinema.
