Review of Paterson (2016) by Moviemitch96 — 12 Feb 2017
Surprisingly, for such a small and quiet little film, it turned out to be rather interesting for the most part. Adam Driver's equally subdued performance marks yet another worthwhile performance of his and the film's themes of love, poetry, etc.
are interesting enough. However, I was really quite surprised at the lack of conflict in the film. Too often it seemed a little too simple and straightforward both story-wise and for the characters. Overall, despite its over-simplicity and quiet nature, it's still a film that made me ponder and think a bit and Driver makes fine work of it as well.
