Review of Paterson (2016) by David H — 02 Feb 2017
I've always been a fan of Adam Driver and he did a marvelous job on this film. It's shot in a way I haven't seen many films shot in such a meticulous attention to what he wants audiences paying attention to.
It was refreshing, to be honest the poetry, the relationships he has and creates throughout the film are suppose to be quite ordinary and remind us of what habitual lives some may lead. Paterson is very particular yet he surprises himself and those around him through random actions of heroics and being very polite.
He's not deeply interesting yet he's not boring. There's something special about the full circle it comes and our look into what Patersons life is like over the course of a week. It's highly relatable and somewhat sobering which I think is effective.
I like it and I think there's a lot more to come from Driver in years to come.
