Review of Patch Adams (1998) by Amber V — 19 Jan 2013
Wow. Saccharine alert! Diabetics beware. Shamefully manipulative, pompous, shallow, paper-thin/cartoonish characters, endlessly formulaic. Even the musical score is eye-rolling trash. Every attempt to exploit emotions is so in-your-face obvious that it becomes almost insulting.
And please: allowing the often insufferable Robin Williams to indulge in playing any kind of clown, even for a minute, should be a crime! Madness!
