Sadly this movie is quite cliched. Enjoyable but cliched.
Imagine if you will the movie presented from Aurora's perspective, it turns the movie from a dramatic love story, into a creepy, almost horror movie.
She wakes up and Jim is initially cagey and stand-offish. Without spending the first third of the movie feeling sorry for Jim, you don't know what his intentions are and he comes off as deceptive and untrustworthy.
Not only that you could cut out the whole ship malfunctioning thing in the third act as driving force to get them back together.
There would be more possibilities to how the movie ends.
Good movie, just cliched.
