Review of Particle Fever (2013) by Samir K — 19 Apr 2014
Well executed documentary that shows the human side of the some of the brightest minds working in particle physics. Gets to the heart of why humanity must invest in and conduct experiments like the LHC...curiosity and the thirst for knowledge of where we came from, what are we, and where we are going (these words are engraved on the wall of the CERN visitors center).
Unfortunately the supersymmetry camp looks like they are even less likely to be right even though the value of the Higgs mass didn't say one way or another. Other experiments like BICEP2 pointing to the possibility of a multiverse. But the LHC may still surprise us with what it finds at 15 TeV energy collisions..exciting times!
