Review of Particle Fever (2013) by Jim F — 20 Nov 2014
Really good documentary about a subject I didnt think I would understand. This was a fully comprehensive guide to the history, purpose and story of the CERN Hadron collider. Fantastic piece of engineering.
Closest thing to a spaceship ive ever seen. Great input by each of the scientists but were I out having a meal with them I don't think i'd have a word to say, let alone understand what they are talking about.
I love the fact that this was built with it having no economic purpose, and that being the reason the yanks cancelled building their own. Well made documentary, engaging characters and easy to understand.
Even wonderful to see Higgs himself. Humble and very touched by the discovery of his atom. Couldn't have asked for anything more from this.
