Review of Parkland (2013) by Alvin Y — 17 Oct 2013
It seems that I'm the only person in Flixster to review this film. I think this is a must see film to not only movie lovers, but also to some History teachers and professors out there. This is a much in depth point of view look of what the 1991 film JFK did shown, but somehow this isn't as intense and gripping as the Oliver Stone movie was.
My complain about here is the length and its quality, look at the film United 93, that's how you should make a story, no Hollywood cliches, just pure honest and realistic POV look of a tragedy. I also felt that some of the recognized actors/actresses today in Hollywood are mostly here, but then I felt, it's a shame for them to be there! What I like is how some of the events felt more accurate that some of them were more secret for more than 40 years.
So then, it's a worth rental film on DVD, but don't expect any characters, climax, or any ending here, because it's obvious.
