As we come upon the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, people are still talking up their conspiracy theories and what they think actually happened. While some of that may have been interesting years ago, it's become rather tiresome in my book and I wish people would just accept what happened and move on.
Along comes yet another film about that fateful day. "Parkland" is the hospital where Kennedy was taken after he was shot. The title is a bit misleading because only a fraction of the film actually takes there.
It's full of some decent performances and offers a look into some of the things that happened during the day of and after 11/22/63 that many people may not have known or read about. What I liked best is that the story kept to the facts and strayed away from becoming just another conspiracy theory story.
While not a great movie, it is worth checking out if you are interested in history or the time period.
