Review of Parkland (2013) by Henry F — 11 Jan 2014
A courageous attempt by writer-director Peter Landesman to capture JFK's assassination through the eyes of the American people, rather than from an objective perspective. It captures the tragedy of the event but it often fails to maintain the thrill and suspense the way it should.
It flies through the day of the assassination and the days after, not allowing the viewer to totally grasp the event at hand. Nevertheless, it's one that every American should see, especially if they weren't there to witness it firsthand.
