Review of Paris When It Sizzles (1964) by Samantha L — 15 Apr 2007
A lesser known Audrey Hepburn film, and what a shame. Holden is fun as a lecherous screenwriter suffering writer's block, that is, until Hepburn arrives to type his script. It's one of those "movie within a movie" gimmicks that is quite commonplace today, but I guess it went over the heads of audiences back in '64.
Clever writing... perhaps Noel Coward (who appears in the film) helped spruce up the wit. Based on a French film I'd love to see.
