Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Nathan C — 28 Jan 2008
Extremely beautiful & stylish compositions and colour schemes. The fresh approach to cinematography surprised me as it was made in the 80s. Fantastic music. Basic plot is a consuming yet disturbing love but the focus is more on the psychology of the protagonist (Travis).
I picked up this film as it was one of Kurt Cobain's favourite movies, and I did enjoy it. Reminds me of my favourite director Wang Kar-Wei.
