Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Bryan T — 31 Jan 2008
Maybe the most exquisite storytelling I've ever seen in a movie. Detailing how good this film is and why it works so well would totally negate the purpose of watching it. One of its many miracles is that it feels 100% organic even though upon dissection, it might seem absurd.
Stanton gives one of the best performances of the 1980's, and Kinski flawlessly counters him.
