Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Adam T — 26 Jun 2008
It's hard to say whether I enjoyed this film or not. On the one hand, I found the first hour and a half, where Travis is discovered and attempts to adapt back to life with his family, absolutely captivating.
But the final hour loses my attention faster than a stick of celery in Rosie O'Donnell's refrigerator. The first meeting between Travis and Julie was simply confounding, and the final, speech-laden confrontation was so boring that I found myself counting down the minutes until the movie was over.
