Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Lynda M — 25 Jul 2008
A beautiful and intelligent work of art, an experience of loss and regret.
Moody, slow, absorbing, you lose yourself in this 'love lost' and in many ways tragic story. This film was probably an early warning to us all of how life can easily overwhelm you without us realising it. Wender's films are not made for the box office, but for the audience who love art, with depth and beauty.
