Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Gregory C — 10 Aug 2010
I hadn't seen this in a long, long while but I just got it on blu-ray. could this film be any better? I don't think so. the cinematography, cast, screenplay, score and pacing are all totally perfect.
it just occurred to me that, of the films i'd put in a list of my favorites ever, this is the only one devoid of sex, violence or laughs. this movie is all love, however fucked up and fractured that love might be.
if you haven't seen this, or if it's been a while, get on it. it's good for your soul.
