Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Andy W — 24 Aug 2012
Paris, Texas never ceases to fascinate, both visually and emotionally. The story remains timeless due in large part to the emotional journey that one finds easy to connect with. The film is also anchored by terrific performances from Stanton and the gorgeous Kinski, whose final "confession" scene is one of the most memorable moments in cinematic history (for me at least, ha)! Moving at a slow pace, the film slowly but surely grows on you as you go along with the protagonist.
It's surely a journey worth taking.
