Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Nicky S — 01 Mar 2014
An excellent, beautifully shot movie. The cinematography is second to none - it's probably the most beautiful movie I've ever watched. The scenery and filming is gorgeous. It also has a steady, methodical pace, but doesn't lose your attention for the nearly 2.
5 hour running time. The acting is great, and the story is heartfelt and strikes deep at one's emotions. It's a story of emotion and gradual, beautiful reconnection - a lovely piece. There are also funny parts of this deep story.
The plot, while great, nags me a bit because it seems a little bit contrived. However, the wonderful filmatography, the great story, creativity, and suspense, and just overall it's great - makes it one of the best, most beautiful, pretty movies I've seen, and one of my personal favorite movies.
