Great story by Sam Shepard; great acting -- especially by Harry Dean Stanton and some awesome film work by Wim Wenders. Whether it's the shots to make an ordinary car ride work up more anticipation in the viewer or the scenic vistas, this is a beautiful film -- both in quality and subject matter.
