Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Norbert P — 14 Jul 2013
Long at 140 minutes, Paris, Texas follows a drifter who returns to a forgotten life. Great characters and a superb script, the final scene is poetic and ties together the seemingly thin plotline. Some great cinematography, it's no wonder critics loved this.
The score is wonderful, and complements the incredible landscape shots, which are jarringly dramatic. Hard to distinguish between brilliance and boredom at times though, I may have to reflect on this.
