Review of Paris Je T'aime (2006) by Andrew D — 17 Jun 2009
I didn't watch all of these, but the ones I watched I really liked, especially the Tom Twyker short "Faubourg Saint-Denis" (aka "True"). This short with Natalie Portman is just astounding. So good I had to watch it twice.
"Tuileries", by the Coen brothers, is amusing and well-shot.
Wes Craven's "Père-Lachaise" is cute and funny.
Alexander Payne's "14th arrondissement" is a bit of a letdown, but still interesting and realistic human drama.
Gus Van Sant's "Le Marais" is alright.
Vincenzo Natali's "Quartier de la Madeleine" is a beautifully shot vampire love story with Elijah Wood that is one of the better shorts.
