Review of Paris Je T'aime (2006) by Yiwei W — 13 Oct 2009
It is indisputable French Cinema is strong at creating a fantastic world and drawn you in. True. [Paris Je T'aime] is one of the contemporary examples. Not all 18 shorts are equally good but they function their parts respectively and put together a beautiful picture.
My favorites are: [Tuileries] by Joel and Ethan Coen, [Bastille] by Isabel Coixet, [Faubourg Saint-Denis] by Tom Tykwer & [14e arrondissement] by Alexander Payne. They are all filled of affection, passion, emotion and devotion.
By picking Alexander Payne's clip as the round-up perfectly amplifies the endless suspiration this compilation delivers. Paris, Je T'aime!
