Review of Paris Je T'aime (2006) by Manolo P — 29 Jan 2017
"Paris Je T'aime" is an anthology in which short tapes are collected regarding and connecting to the city of Paris, and what we can find in it to later define why this city is what it is, which elements compose it, as well as a wide panorama of how people live there, what problems exist, but we are also endowed with joyful anecdotes that their inhabitants and visitors acquire, being by definition a film that conveys the dream and the reality of living in the French capital .
As mentioned, this film collects short films from different authors and perspectives, which makes it as a whole to be appreciated on its wide range of possibilities. For obvious reasons, there are short films of better quality than others, but what matters is the whole, which can sometimes be taken as too long and cheesy, but where you can enter the streets and the minds of the characters to believe a delightful and enjoyable cinematographic work.
