Makes a strong statement about What goes on behind closed doors. Also, It displays; "Do as I say and not Do as I do" brilliantly.
It's darkly comic at times and yet in it's satire of the pretentiousness of the 'wholesome' all american family, it is a very Haunting tale, Just put yourself in young Michael's shoes.
A fantastic film and Randy Quaid gives a career Best performance. "Eat your meat Michael".
