Right about the end of Steve Martin's career - his funny career, that is. The man that Richard Pryor called a comedic genius back in the mid 80s left us at the conclusion of Planes, Trains, & Automobiles.
He made two appearances afterwards in Dirty Rotten Scoundrals and LA Story, and he hasn't been seen since.
