A "famcom" to call it, suitable for all, sickly sweet at times but with ample giggles & tears to keep most viewers interested. haven't seen Crystal in anything for a while, Midler works well alongside and there's plenty of chemistry between all of the well cast kids.

No wooden performance but no real standout moments, other than the "shot heard around the world" moment & its subsequent repercussion...a gentle, easy to watch movie...another good rental choice.
