Pretty similar to a typical dark Tim Burton animated feature, but with more adult humor in it especially on the fact that it had some cuse words which was a little surprisingly. But what mainly works for it is the message that it has to say so when you think about it it CAN be for little kids.
Somewhat family friendly but still could have done better without the adult humor.
