Review of ParaNorman (2012) by Sarah . — 09 Feb 2013

This was way better than I expected! It was funny, dark, and had a good story too. The characters were awesome. The score was hauntingly beautiful. I really loved that there were a lot of really serious elements within this movie, and they weren't undermined by the humour (which was also great). I really don't know if I'd call this a kid's movie though. At the very least, it's not for really young kids. It's quite creepy and deals with some dark subject matter. They did that in a great way though. I can't really explain it. I just really, really enjoyed this movie. Definitely up there as one of the better animated movies I've seen in quite some time.

What did this movie teach me? There's always someone out there who will understand you and appreciate you for who you are.
