Review of Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) by Stephen C — 21 Jan 2014

I've been a huge fan of this franchise since the beginning. I feel it's beginning to enter a downward spiral. The writers seem to be trying awful hard and it's really starting to fragment the overall story.

There were a couple of tie ins to the previous films, but that was about it. The only part I liked was where the last scene ended up. There were some great setups that really fizzled out (Simon Says is a great example of this).

All of the suspense is completely predictable. The story itself didn't really have any flow which made it more irritating. To me, this was the rotten egg to the whole series thus far. I am in hopes the next movie will start bringing everything together before they fragment the story even further.
