Review of Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) by Haitham B — 28 Mar 2014
From the "Paramount" logo sequence in the beginning of the film, indicates a new route for the "Paranormal Activity" franchise, but is it necessary new? Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is without doubt is an unnecessary sequel that creates lame excuses for connecting all four of the past films, it decides to use a science fiction thrill that just fails to work despite grabbing the attention of the viewer of how hopeless the franchise is.
The characters are not really genuine, just trying to party, make trouble and break into a house of a dead woman? It creates this interest over nothing due to the lack of dimensional characters. One the other hand, it is still fun to watch, it does not deliver even quarter of the scares the past four films did, but I admit I am a PA fan, and the franchise is not ending any time soon, looking forward to an improvement.
