It follows exactly the same formula the other movies in the franchise have followed and it arguably doesn't add anything new to the franchise or the genre, but it is an entertainment movie if you are only looking for jump scares or a horror movie with no real plot or coherense, just scares, although for this purpouse any of the other movies in the franchise would work as well.
