Review of Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) by Sebastian K — 14 Feb 2013

Paranormal Activity 4 is the reason Hollywood is trying to empty our wallets. These series of movies seems like their never gonna stop until they start loosing money. I wish they would have made each one an original rather then it just being the same thing every movie. Nothing happens at all in this, I mean there are scenes that aren't even meant to be scary, but other then that there's nothing new.

The film follows the events from Paranormal Activity 2. It follows a family that just got new neighbors across the street, and weird things start to happen when the little boy starts hanging around there.

I remember when the first Paranormal Activity came out back in 2009 and it was a very terrifying film. Then the second one came out the next year and it wasn't as great but it was still watchable. Then the third one came out the following year and that's when it started to really overrated and just became crappy. And finally the fourth installment of the franchise came out thinking all the activity has led to this. Well you people are so wrong. The plot is the same, but it's the last 20 minutes of the movie that make more interesting, but other then that very slow and really predictable. It seems in every Paranormal Activity film all the good scares are near the end of the movie. The week before this movie came out, there was a horror movie called Sinister with Ethan Hawke. It was everything a horror movie should have been. It was unpredictable, very scary and I felt good that I spent my money on it.

Everybody actor in this movie were terrible especially Kathryn Newton who played Alex. I think every actor in this movie thought they were gonna get famous from this movie, well I've forgotten about most of them. None of the actors had common sense and I didn't find them convincing. I don't see the majority of these actors having a movie career after this movie.

Paranormal Activity 4 maybe the fourth installment in the franchise, but it's the worst one yet. I won't be surprised if they never stop making these movies or if they make one and put it in IMAX 3D. They won't stop because they make so much money because they are the cheapest movies. Paranormal Activity is a very cool concept but it's at the point where it needs to end. When people are you gonna fed up with this.
