Doesn't really match the best in the series. PA3 really stretched the plausibility, but made up for it with a genuinely terrifying third act. This installment introduces a number of ways things are recorded but makes no attempt to explain how we are seeing all of these sources together.
It also adds nothing to the mythology, something the previous two sequels did in a way that enriched the first films plot.
