Review of Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) by Peter B — 09 Dec 2013

I had my fun with this, but there's no denying the fact that this film is heavily flawed. I continue to be amazed at the idiocy of some of these characters, although I'm not going to lie, I kind of liked Alex and Robbie as the two leads.

There were certainly some good scares here, and it got my heart beating, but the scares are few and far between. The ending, on the other hand, almost seems comical at points (just because of the sudden tone shift and all the deaths).

Regardless, it still had my attention for its entire running time, so this fourth installment must have been doing at least a couple things right.
