Review of Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) by Tyler S — 15 Jan 2014
The original movie was okay in its original version (as opposed to the version with the changed ending that went into wide release). The problems started when they tried to build a mythos around it with subsequent movies, and it all went downhill.
The major problem here is that this movie takes place within the mythos but doesn't add anything to it, and where it takes place within the mythos is confusing with plot twists that don't make any sense.
It's time to put this franchise to rest and bury it.
