Review of Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) by Zachary Y — 02 May 2014

Looking for a distraction a couple of hours ago, I stumbled on the fourth installment of the Paranormal Activity series.

The first one was slow but suitably creepy at the end. The second was even slower and completely bewildering at the end. The third was yet slower and while it was at least a little understandable, it was also simplistic, disconnected and made me go, "Really?" at the end.

This last one sped along like a melting glacier, was utterly predictable and had an estimated two minutes of actual tension. Plus...it never got finished!!! It was like, "We didn't really know where we were going with this, so we just cut the cameras and hoped people would assume "Art! Go figure!" and leave it at that.

I can only assume it's because there's a Paranormal 5 in the offing.

It sometimes takes me awhile, but I'm pretty sure I've learned my lesson. I need some lunch, a nap and a much better distraction gauge.
