Review of Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) by David B — 05 May 2012
Wow, this was actually pretty good. The scares were fantastic and sometimes mind-booglerling, with some amazing special effects that doesn't take over the film. The best scene being that all the kitchin items (Including table) had dissapeared off screen and then re-appearing from the ceiling, smashing into the floor.
The film didn't really scare he as such but that's not to say it's predictable, unlike the second film. What's more amazing are the two little girls playing the younger versions of Katie and Kristie, who were simply brilliant and this film will hopefully bring them into the limelight futher, they are a great talent.
The special effects, like I said, are great, though you can tell they've got a better and bigger budget but never fills the screen of Hollywood. Some parts are predictable but this is far more superb than the second, but because the first film had a low budget and was a massive hit, it makes this film unoriginal but if you loved the first two, you defo love this.
Also, it expandes the story or more of the background of the girls, just remember, this is a PREQUEL, not a sequel...in some ways, that should have started with this, but budget does show still a great film.
Watch it...in the dark...(Again).
