I was expecting to be bored by this with it being the third in the series but it still manages to scare and build tension very effectively. The scares are subtle and come from slight noises and shadows in the background, things that could be there or could just be in your imagination and this works so well that in parts I imagined things on the screen that weren't actually there.

One of the great tension builders is the rotating camera in the kitchen as it pans from left to right, you're left on edge, wondering what will be revealed when it pans back and it almost makes it worse when there is nothing there so they leave you waiting to be scared.
