Not quite as good as the second film, but serves as a good prequel and sheds a lot more light on what happened to the sisters as they were children, which wasn't touched upon that much in the previous films other then the sisters talking about some of the stuff.

So, the story is interesting enough, but it isn't as good as the second film. There certainly weren't as many good scares with this one as there were with the second one either, so it was a bit of a disappointment, but stays true to the previous installments.
