Review of Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) by Vidkid — 26 Jan 2012

Paranormal Activity 3 has more scares than Paranormal 2 and is most likely the best of the three films so far. The filmmakers do a good job here by letting us see the action from both handheld sources and from a creative POV shot where the camera is attached to a rotating fan. We are eager to see what has or has not changed in the room with each turn of the fan.

PA 3 is basically a prequel to the original and this is a good thing since we learn more about the background of the story. This added plot development brings the movie up a notch.

Those who did not get into the 'found footage' style of the franchise and who did not return for the second installment will not find very much new here. However, for those of us who have become fans, this PA is a worthy addition.
