Paranormal Activity 3 is one of the first horror films that I've watched, and remember it being so terrifying to watch. Before watching Paranormal Activity 3 again, it is interesting that the directors of Catfish is wanted to make a Paranormal Activity movie, and one of the writers of the previous film decide to wrote this alone.

Even though Paranormal Activity 3 wasn't as terrifying as I first saw it, it's just as scary as the first movie. The acting is pretty good, especially the kid actors who actually look like young versions of Katie and Kristi which is very rare for a horror film.

The characters are decent, nothing really special besides Katie and Kristi. The writing by Christopher Landon is good, but there were moments that could've handled better. The famcam is a nice idea, and it lead to some interesting and new suspense.

The scares are really effective and the last 15 minutes are one of the exciting and scariest parts of the film. Half the time I don't know why it was being filmed, and it cuts in weird places that you won't expect which doesn't make sense at times.

The movie doesn't explain why the tapes were formed into VHS tapes which was a bit odd to me. The movie has some funny moments, and it does give some answers, even if it raised a bit more questions which I was fine with.

Paranormal Activity 3 is a nicely put prequel that goes in well to the first movie.
