Review of Paranormal Activity 2 (2010) by Brandon M — 10 Sep 2012

This is a good film. I'm not quite sure why everyone says it's the worst, because in my opinion, the third is the worst by far. The second focused a lot less on disturbing scares (which was the focus of the first one) and took favor of daunting jump-scares. Some of them really packed a punch, one even caused me to jump about 6 feet back, no exaggeration. The story-telling gets a little lost and the impending-doom atmosphere from the first one isn't a gripping. But the ghost scenes are very scary and hard to watch, but in a good way. The ending is quite a twist and happens shockingly and quickly, and it caused me to laugh a little, but it is effective nonetheless.

It's a good movie, and deserves respect.
