It takes the elements of the first movie and improves upon them with more likeable characters, more unpredictability and a more believable method of obtaining this "found footage" making up the movie.
In the end Paranormal Activity 2 succeeds better in providing scares and overall entertainment then any other film in the franchise thus far.
