Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Mathilde P — 03 Dec 2008
In the same vein as Elephant, Paranoid Park aims at exploring troubled teenagers (yet in Paranoid Park the trouble is the consequence of an action instead of the cause).
Van Sant's long and no-dialogue scenes are a constant all along, allowing the viewer to figure out what is going on on the characters' mind. A great soundtrack and an excellent performance by Gabe Nevins (the lead role).
